OUR CORE BELIEFS

We believe there is one living God in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God alone is to be honored and worshipped by all men. (Mark 12:28-31)

We believe the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is therefore the word of God. It is without error in everything that it says, and it is the normative source of authority on all matters of doctrine and life. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. As such, He is the only way of salvation from sins. Jesus, as God in the flesh, died on a cross for the sins of the entire world. His body was placed in a tomb for three days, after which He rose from the dead (both literally and physically). Jesus had both a fully human and fully divine nature. (Matthew 16:16; Colossians 1:13-23; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

We believe God saves people by grace. In order to accept God’s gracious offer of salvation, one must put faith in Christ, turn to Him in repentance, confess Him before others, and be immersed (baptized) into Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10)

We believe Jesus Christ is the head of the church, and as such, He is the authority of His church. The church is the body of Christ. It should always strive for unity so that the world may be won to Christ. (Ephesians 5:23; John 17:21)

We believe the primary mandate of the church is to keep the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe Jesus is coming again. After His return, all people will stand before God in judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life. The wicked will be sentenced to eternal punishment in Hell. (Matthew 25:31-46)
